You can read about the neo-futurists here. (they probably give a better explanation of what they do than I could).

The event is called neofuturist because they developed the 2-minute plays idea, but for the purpose of what we’ll be doing in PW you should feel free to write anything. The original neo-futurist 2-minute plays show is called “Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind,” and you can hear some samples on this page.

So if you choose you can write in the neofuturist aesthetic, but we’re interested in getting anything and everything (under 2 minutes). The pieces will be with scripts in hand, and we have an ensemble which will be rehearsing to quickly put the plays on their feet.

So please send as many plays as you’d like! If you want to, you could get up each morning this week, write for 5 minutes (or 30 seconds, or however you want), and have a new play each day! We’d love for you to send along anything you have!
